Todowing

Todowing is an unofficial Chrome extension for Todoist. Todoist flattens sub-tasks in Today, Upcoming, Filters, Labels, and board views, so a task shows up without the parent it belongs to. Todowing shows the sub-task tree under each parent, up to four levels deep. Each sub-task keeps its own due date, priority, and labels, and you can complete or reopen it from the list.

The paid unlock adds editing sub-tasks from the list (add, rename, reorder), hiding completed sub-tasks, filing one task under a parent in another project without moving it, focus sessions with a countdown timer, time estimates totaled per view, a markdown notes pad above Today, a font picker, and read-only Apple Calendar events in Today.

It is made for Todoist users who rely on sub-tasks and want to see them in their daily views. It works in the Todoist web app in Chrome, on any Todoist plan. It does not run in the Todoist desktop app.

Pricing: the free version includes all nesting features, seven color palettes, and a text-size slider, with no account needed. It shows up to five sub-task rows per top-level task. A one-time $19.99 lifetime unlock removes that limit and adds the paid features. No subscription, and refunds are available within 14 days.

Privacy: your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Your tasks never pass through Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking.
